Time has passed slowly, enemies have been made, and they have disappeared. Or at least they think that that´s what I believe. Keep your friends close, and your enemies closer, as they say.
I have been inactive for long now, too long I would say, but there was no choice, the stalkers have lurked in my shadow and I´ve had only Thornop to do my bidding. That must change, it will change, I cannot remain within the Lady´s grasp if I am to progress.
The chance have come, the breathers attempt to strike back against the Cult´s actions against them, the perfect opportunity for us to steal the spotlight. Before they merely had the Cult to worry about, I am sure that the Harbingers will seem a much more terrible foe.

As I spoke with Charles in the morrrow he told me of a robed Forsaken, this new “player” has volunteered, for a price, to aid Thornop´s Deadwind expedition. He sent a message saying that he would need additional aid from a warlock, I immediatley saw the possibility to test Rakkezai´s abilities once again.
After instructing Charles on his new duties he told me more of this “Avrand” character, he tells me the man has potential, a keen intellect and the… right idea. In due time I might have to meet with him myself. In the mean time I will shift through the layers of Undercity and see what can be learned.
I have had no contact with the mercenaries for quite some time now, and there´s been no trace of their leader either. It seems that I will need to find another source to act as my shields and swords

There is no spring without a winter, no life without death.
I heard a Human philosopher proclaim this “truth” in Booty Bay, yet I ponder, what happens when all is death and there is still life? Am I not proof of the many flaws in his statement? Indeed, life has outlived itself, become an obsolete artefact that we need turn into the next step on the path.
Aah, how I wish I had access to the knowledge the Cult posess, the libraries of Caer Darrow are brimming with books and tomes that should be in my hands! Had it not been for the falsehood of the Scourge. Yet, there are other sources of power, Charles are making preparations for a minor incursion to the Deadwind Tower, there must be something of value within it´s dusty halls. With rumours of curses and magical traps not many could have dared to enter, perhaps the answer awaits me there?
But I cannot risk everything on such hopes, I have made contact with a small mercenary band and with the promise of gold their leader has agreed to escort me through Outland. According to the map the Elves provided there are old ruins not too far from the Portal that are infested with undead, what ever it is that raises the bones there it must possess considerable power, I can only imagine what deeds I could accomplish with it in my hands.

Fascinating, truly fascinating. Even though the power of the sword is quickly waning I have gleaned some very valuable knowledge from it, the runes are the most prominent feature, their glow quickly identifying them as magical. I was scribing the runes on a parchment to ensure that I could study them even after returning the blade to Acherus´ and the Widow, but after copying the second I noticed that they took on a faint glow, an icy blue in colour. I also noted that the temperature seemed to drop in the parchment´s, or more likely, the runes´ immediate area.
Even when I simply copy these runes with a quill and some ink they retain at least part of their power, even if faint, to assure myself of some safety I used two thin pieces of parchment and penned part of each rune on either, so that only when put together properly one can see the complete rune. The power of these runes reminds me of the so called Runemasters of the Tauren, if they have knowlege of this kind it might be worthwhile to seek one out.

“Lord” Gerald requested another meeting, the little maggot does not seem to realize where his place is. None the less, my plans are unfolding without flaws and I felt that a small favour would perhaps increase his loyalty to the cause. Had I known that he simply wished to tell that his forces were ready, with some additional fools he had lured to aid him and that he only needed me to stage the attack. Needed me! By the Shadow, he must know that the Night watch has taken over Raven Hill, and without Raven Hill we cannot access the bodies Dawnseeker stored there.
For Erythnal´s many flaws he at least performed well in arranging that, of course it was all nullified by the attention he and that other fel-ridden fool, Gregor, drew to the area with their games…
I cannot tolerate any potential threats or disturbances, I will have to contact Charles and add him to the list. Now, however, I will have to find another contact, someone who can be molded, yet contain the right qualties.

Patience brought me here, when others fell or faltered I remained. But I cast off the cloak of patience, if only for the shortest time, and here I stand, at the brink, surrounded by loose ends and rabid dogs. It is time to tie things up, to cull the weak and mad. It is time to vanish into the Shadow once again. Too many know, too many are aware of how things go, Charles assured me that things will be dealt with swiftly and with discretion. But can I trust him? Can I afford not to? My options are quickly dwindling in number, Soulrender provides an alternative, but if I show weakness now… I do not wish to see what that could bring.
At least some of my plans still run smoothly, with the “disappearance” of Erythnal I assured me of Soulrender´s ruthless effectiveness, where Erythnal showed reckless initiative the Orc proves his cold, calculating action. He is by far more worthy than that death knight, even if warlocks, or as he prefer to call himself; “fel-weavers”, mignt not be of the same use.
I convinced the Widow to let me keep Erythnal´s runeblade, I am confident that the magic it contains and the runes harnassing that magic can be employed by one such as I, my kind were here first, after all.

Soulrender contacted me, he has made the preparations and are ready to strike. I almost pity Daegran, if he had at least shown a glimmer of loyalty or intelligence he could have been a potent weapon against my enemies, now all I can do is remove him from the equation. I cannot let any unkown variables remain if we are to be succesful.
A human, “Gerald” of the Light´s Crusade, we stumbled upon him in Raven Hill, he was… in disarray, the people he had tried to protect had turned on him, the fool, that is what happens when one embraces the weak, they turn on you. Still, he has some potential, perhaps not enough to be worthy of induction but if tempered correctly he can become a useful tool for the future.
